STUDI MORFOLOGI DAN PRAKTIK BUDIDAYA JERUK SIAM (Citrus nobilis) DI DESA SARIBUDOLOK SIMALUNGUN

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi keragaman morfologi dan teknik budidaya jeruk siam (Citrus nobilis) di Desa Saribudolok, Simalungun, Sumatra Utara, melalui pendekatan kualitatif eksploratif-deskriptif. Observasi dilakukan di kebun milik Bapak Sarmulia Jonmulia Saragih, petani berpengalaman lebih dari 20 tahun. Parameter yang diamati meliputi ukuran, berat, warna, dan ketebalan kulit buah, bentuk daun, pola pertumbuhan, serta ketahanan terhadap penyakit. Hasil menunjukkan adanya keragaman morfologi signifikan, dengan diameter buah 6,0"“7,5 cm dan berat 150"“210 gram. Variasi ini dipengaruhi oleh teknik budidaya seperti pemangkasan, pengairan tradisional, pemupukan, dan pengendalian hama. Penggunaan fungisida berbahan aktif tembaga, benomil, dan difenokonazol efektif mencegah infeksi luka pemangkasan. Petani juga berhasil mengendalikan penyakit blandog melalui eksperimen mandiri dan seleksi bibit berdasarkan pengalaman Pemberian nutrisi dan racikan asam amino alami hasil fermentasi terbukti meningkatkan kualitas buah dan ketahanan tanaman.
