Analisis Sistem Kebutuhan Penerangan Pada Ruang Kelas Dengan Light Emitting Diode (LED)

Abstract"“Salah satu penggunaan energi listrik yang cukup vital yaitu untuk penerangan. Dalam bidang pendidikan, keberadaan ruang kuliah memerlukan penerangan saat proses belajar mengajar berlangsung. Penerangan pada ruang kelas saat ini banyak yang tidak sesuai dengan standar SNI 03-6575-2001. Karena itulah analisis terhadap sistem penerangan ketika menggunakaan lampu LHE dan LED diperlukan, sehingga dapat dihasilkan aplikasi bantu untuk melakukan perhitungan kebutuhan penerangan ruang kuliah.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis untuk menghasilkan kuat penerangan sebesar 250 lux jika menggunakan jenis lampu LED yang memiliki fluks tiap lampu 3.000 lumen maka jumlah lampu yang diperlukan pada ruang kelas yang berukuran 8x8m sebanyak 10 buah, 8x7m sebanyak 8 buah, 8x7,5m sebanyak 9 buah, 8x8m sebanyak 11 buah dan 8x4m sebanyak 5 buah.
Kemudian berdasarkan perhitungan jika menggunakan lampu LHE jumlah lampu yang digunakan lebih banyak serta daya yang diperlukan lebih besar jika dibandingkan dengan LED. Dalam setahun Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak menkonsumsi daya 26.956,8 KWH, sehingga harus membayar tarif listrik sebesar Rp.24.261.120,- jika menggunakan Lampu Hemat Energi (LHE). Sedangkan jika menggunakan lampu LED daya yang dibutuhkan 15.629,76 KWH dan tarif listrik yang harus dibayar sebesar 14.066.784,- maka didapat selisih penghematan biaya sebesar Rp. 10.194.336,-. Lampu LED memerlukan investasi awal sebesar Rp. 20.904.000,-, sehingga dapat diketahui titik balik impas atau nilai Break Even Point (BEP) yaitu pada tahun ke 2,05. Karena life time LED mencapai 10.000 jam maka efisiensi yang didapat sampai LED rusak adalah Rp. 47.196.000,004,-.
