SIMULASI KARAKTERISTIK MOTOR INDUKSI TIGA FASA BERBASIS PROGRAM MATLAB

Abstract– Motor induksi sangat lazim digunakan pada kalangan industri. Dalam aplikasinya, pemilihan motor harus disesuaikan dengan kondisi beban mekanik. Untuk beban yang berat, motor harus memiliki torka asut yang besar agar mampu mengasut beban. Dengan demikian, pengetahuan atas karakteristik tiap motor perlu untuk diketahui agar dapat secara tepat peruntukkannya sesuai dengan beban yang akan dilayani. Tulisan ini membahas tentang karakteristik motor induksi tiga fasa dengan mengacu pada hasil simulasi berbasis program MATLAB. Karakteristik yang ditinjau menitikberatkan pada karakteristik torka-kecepatan, di samping juga melakukan perhitungan besaran-besaran motor induksi yang mencakup torka asut, torka maksimum, dan kecepatan dimana terjadinya torka maksimum. Guna sebagai pembanding maka pada simulasi yang dilakukan digunakan 3 (tiga) spesifikasi motor dengan daya mekanik masing-masing sebesar 15 hp, 25 hp, dan 100 hp. Dari hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa semakin besar daya mekanik motor maka torka asut dan torka maksimum yang dihasilkan akan semakin membesar. Sebaliknya, semakin besar daya mekanik motor maka kecepatan terjadinya torka maksimum akan semakin mengecil.
