Rancang Bangun Mesin Pemipil Jagung Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Pemipilan Jagung Kelompok Tani Desa Kuala Dua

Abstract– Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh petani pasca panen jagung setelah jagung dikeringkan adalah berkaitan dengan pemipilan jagung. Proses pemipilan yang biasanya dilakukan petani dengan cara manual menggunakan tangan, sehingga memerlukan waktu yang lama. Produktivitas petani dalam memipil jagung rendah, karena hasil pipilan sedikit dan petani cepat lelah. Belum ada mesin yang digunakan untuk membantu petani jagung dalam proses pemipilan jagung. Hal ini dikarenakan mahalnya harga mesin yang ada dipasaran dan petani belum mengetahui teknologi untuk pembuatan mesin pemipil jagung. Rancang bangun mesin pemipil jagung dibuat untuk membantu Kelompok tani Desa Kuala Dua meningkatkan hasil pipilan jagungnya. Berdasarkan percobaan yang dilakukan diperoleh rasio permenit untuk kapasitas produksi yang dapat ditingkatkan dari penggunaan mesin pemipil jagung dengan pemipilan secara manual adalah 10 : 1. Berarti dengan menggunakan mesin pemipil jagung yang telah dirancang dan dibuat dapat menghasilkan 1 kg biji jagung pipilan permenit.
