Tinjauan Pustaka: Potensi Kunyit (Curcuma longa) Sebagai Antinyeri Pasca Melahirkan Masyarakat Suku Melayu Kalimantan Barat

Latar belakang: Keanekaragaman hayati tumbuhan di masyarakat suku Melayu, Kalimantan Barat menjadi sumber utama dalam pengobatan tradisional, khususnya dalam perawatan ibu pasca melahirkan. Kandungan kurkumin pada kunyit, sebagai salah satu tanaman obat, terkenal akan khasiatnya dalam mengurangi peradangan. Pendekatan ini mencerminkan kekayaan alam yang dimiliki oleh budaya lokal dalam pengobatan. Metode: Studi ini menggunakan metode literature review terkait pemanfaatan kunyit (Curcuma longa) dalam perawatan ibu pasca persalinan. Pencarian dilakukan melalui Google Scholar dan PubMed dengan kata kunci terkait kunyit, antinyeri dan post-partum. Hasil: pencarian literatur pada dua database menggunakan kata kunci dan isi yang relevan, diperoleh 7 artikel. Salah satu kandungan kunyit yang paling dominan adalah kurkumin yang bermanfaat sebagai antiinflamasi yang dapat digunakan sebagai pereda nyeri pasca melahirkan. Kesimpulan: Penggunaan kunyit pada masyarakat melayu pasca melahirkan terbukti dapat digunakan sebagai pereda nyeri dan telah dibuktikan secara preklinis dan klinis.
