Edukasi Pencegahan Penyakit Tidak Menular Bagi Mahasiswa Generasi “Z” Melalui Gerakan Jalan Kaki

Abstract

Jalan kaki, merupakan jenis olah raga ringan yang dapat dilakukan oleh semua kalangan. Aktivitas jalan kaki yang dilakukan secara rutin setiap hari selama 30-60 menit dapat mengurangi risiko terkena PTM. Meskipun demikian, belum semua orang dapat menerapkan gaya hidup sehat ini dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin cepat, menyebabkan budaya hidup instan mendominasi gaya hidup manusia pada jaman sekarang. Selain itu, perkembangan teknologi ini meningkatkan gaya hidup sedentary di kalangan masyarakat. Salah satu kelompok di masyarakat yang sangat lekat dengan budaya instan dan sedentary adalah generasi Z. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melakukan edukasi tentang pentingnya melakukan aktivitas fisik sebagai salah satu cara mengurangi risiko PTM. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah diskusi interaktif, di mana peserta diajak untuk secara aktif berbagi pendapat dan pengalaman. Selain itu, pada kegiatan ini juga diberikan pre-tes dan post-tes untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman peserta sebelum dan sesudah edukasi tentang gaya hidup sedentari dan PTM. Pada kegiatan ini juga dilakukan pengukuran indeks massa tubuh (IMT), tingkat aktivitas fisik (METs), serta lama waktu duduk harian bagi setiap peserta. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini telah berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran di kalangan peserta tentang pentingnya mengurangi gaya hidup sedentari melalui aktivitas sederhana seperti jalan kaki. Peserta menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dan berkomitmen untuk mengintegrasikan kebiasaan sehat ini ke dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mereka. Para peserta juga termotivasi untuk meningkatkan aktivitas fisik mereka untuk mencegah risiko PTM.
