Abstract

Permintaan penyewaan alat berat di Unit Pelaksanaan Teknis Daerah (UPTD) Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (PUPR) Kota Pontianak meningkat seiring dengan kebutuhan masyarakat, namun sistem yang berjalan belum terkomputerisasi sehingga mengakibatkan kesalahan pencatatan dalam rekapitulasi data penyewaan yang berakibat pada menurunnya kepuasan pelanggan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun aplikasi penyewaan alat berat di UPTD Alat Berat Dinas PUPR Kota Pontianak berbasis android yang dapat melakukan pembatalan dan  reschedule  serta dapat memberikan notifikasi berupa SMS  Gateway. Dengan pengembangan sistem menggunakan metode  prototype, setelah data terkumpul melalui studi literatur, observasi, dan wawancara, selanjutnya dibuat rancangan sistem dalam bentuk UML yang terdiri dari  class diagram, use case diagram, serta  activity diagram. Kemudian dilakukan implementasi dengan coding menggunakan bahasa PHP dan kerangka kerja Laravel untuk sisi server dan react native dengan bahasa javascript untuk sisi client yang menghasilkan sebuah aplikasi penyewaan alat berat. Aplikasi tersebut diuji dengan metode  black box  dan  User Acceptance Test  (UAT) yang dilakukan dengan kuesioner terhadap 14 koresponden pada aspek rekayasa perangkat lunak, fungsionalitas, dan komunikasi visual. Hasil persentase UAT memperoleh angka 95,15% yang menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi sangat memuaskan dan sesuai dengan harapan. Keseluruhan tahap pada metode  prototype  dapat diimplementasikan dengan baik sehingga aplikasi diberikan respon yang sangat positif
