KARAKTERISITIK KEMISKINAN DI DESA KEDUKUL KABUPATEN SANGGAU KALIMANTAN BARAT (Studi Kasus Keluarga Muslim di Desa Kedukul)

Poverty is a fundamental problem of humanity from the past to the present and perhaps in the future. Poverty in rural areas is higher than in urban areas due to limited access to adequate economic resources and infrastructure. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of poverty in poor Muslim families in Kedukul Village, Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan. The data used are primary data. In this study, researchers conducted field research using descriptive studies and quantitative approaches. The analysis method used was data tabulation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that poor heads of households have a hard-working character, but are lacking in managing expenses, such as financial expenses for cigarette needs which in Islam have no benefits. Another characteristic of poor households is the habit of borrowing with interest, which in Islam borrowing with interest or usury is forbidden. There are a small number of families who neglect worship and are still bound by traditions and customs.References
