Permukiman bantaran sungai sering dicap sebagai permukiman kumuh. Ini juga terjadi di kota-kota Kalimantan, yang secara historis berakar kuat pada budaya sungai. Kajian ini menggambarkan kehidupan sehari-hari penduduk permukiman tepi sungai di Kalimantan, di tengah pesatnya perkembangan kota dan perubahan lingkungan, yang mencerminkan upaya mereka dalam mempertahankan eksistensinya sebagai bagian dari masyarakat perkotaan. Permukiman terapung atau lanting di Kota Sintang dipilih sebagai studi kasus. Pendekatan etnografi spasial yang didukung dengan observasi dan wawancara mendalam digunakan untuk mengungkap keseharian warga dan implikasinya pada ruang kota. Dengan pendekatan taktik-strategi (Perramond, 2007), penelitian ini mengungkapkan makna penting di balik aktivitas sehari-hari penduduk lanting yang mencerminkan pengaruh signifikan dari pikiran dan tindakan masyarakat dalam produksi dan reproduksi ruang hidup mereka.References
