Korelasi Konsep Home Based Enterprise Terhadap Kondisi Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat Kampung Pemulung

Urbanisasi memberi dampak terhadap meningkatnya kebutuhan bermukim dan mata pencaharian. Didorong dengan adanya arus urbanisasi yang tidak diimbangi dengan penyediaan lokasi bermukim dan lapangan kerja, muncul sektor informal berupa perkampungan pemulung. Kampung Pemulung Eks-TPA Lowokdoro menjadi salah satu kampung pemulun terbesar di Kota Malang, baik dari segi wilayah dan skala usaha. Kegiatan memulung di bekas TPA Lowokdoro dikategorikan sebagai kegiatan informal di lahan illegal. Meskipun demikian, sektor ini menjadi pilihan mata pencaharian bagi lebih dari 20 KK di kampung pemulung tersebut selama tiga generasi. Kajian ini akan membahas mengenai kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat kampung pemulung jika dikaitkan dengan konsep Home Based Enterprise. Konsep ini dipilih untuk dibandingkan dengan kondisi di kampung pemulung atas dasar kemiripan karakteristik penggunaan ruang dan tingginya potensi peningkatan kesejahteraan dari aplikasi konsep ini. Kampung pemulung dapat menjadi satu entitas ruang ketiga atau third place dalam penerapan konsep home based enterprise.References
