EFFECT OF THE COMBINATION OF SLUDGE AND NPP FERTILIZATION ON GROWTH AND YIELD OF CAULIFLOWER ON RED - YELLOW PODZOLIC SOIL

Cauliflower plants is classified as a vegetable plant that can currently be grown in the middle to lowland plains. Cauliflower plants are included in the class of annual or short-lived vegetable plants. This study aims to obtain the best dose of Sludge and NPP fertilizer combination on the growth and yield of cauliflower on RYP soil. This research was conducted at the location of Jl. Agree II, Bangka Belitung Village, Southeast Pontianak district, West Kalimantan Pontianak. The research was carried out from March 2 2022 to May 14 2022. This research used a field experiment with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) pattern with 5 treatment levels of the combination of Sludge and NPP fertilizer (F) and 5 replicates, 4 plant samples were taken for each treatment. There are 100 plants in total. The treatment applied are: f1 = 5 tons/ha Sludge + 350 kg/ha NPP, f2 = 10 tons/ha Sludge + 300 kg/ha NPP, f3 = 15 tons/ha Sludge + 250 kg/ha NPP, f4 = 20 ton/ha sludge + 200 kg/ha NPP, f5 = 25 ton/ha sludge + 150 kg/ha NPP. Variables observed included: number of leaves (strands), root volume (cm3), plant dry weight (g), flower diameter (cm), cauliflower weight per plant (g). The results of observations on research showed that the combination of sludge and NPP fertilizer had a significant effect on root volume, plant dry weight, flower diameter and flower/plant weight but had no significant effect on leaf number 1-5 WAP. The results showed that the combination of sludge and NPP fertilizer at the level of 20 ton/ha + 200 kg/ha was the best combination in increasing the growth and yield of cauliflower on RYP soil.
