This study aims to obtain the best combination of chicken manure and coconut shell biochar on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper on peat soil. This research was conducted in Pontianak City. The research was conducted used a completely randomized design, which consisted of 7 treatments with 4 replications. Each treatment unit consisted of 4 plant samples. The treatment in question is as follows: a1 = 10 tonnes/ha of chicken manure and 1.5 tonnes/ha of coconut shell biochar, a2 = 10 tonnes/ha of chicken manure and 3.5 tonnes/ha of coconut shell biochar,a3 = 15 tonnes/ha of chicken manure and 2 tonnes/ha of coconut shell biochar,a4 = 20 tonnes/ha of chicken manure and 2.5 tonnes/ha of coconut shell biochar,a5 = 25 tonnes/ha of chicken manure and 3 tonnes /ha coconut shell biochar,a6 = 30 tonnes/ha of chicken manure and 3.5 tonnes/ha of coconut shell biochar and a7 = 30 tonnes/ha of chicken manure and 1.5 tonnes/ha of coconut shell biochar. Observational variables included: root volume, plant dry weight, fruit weight per fruit, number of fruits per plant (fruit), fruit weight per plant, diameter per fruit and length of fruit. The results showed that a combination treatment of 25 tons/ha of chicken manure and 3 tons/ha of coconut shell biochar was the best dose in increasing the yield of cayenne pepper plants on peat soils.References
