Abstract

Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) is a type of vegetable in the cucurbitacae family or pumpkin that is popular throughout the world. The purpose of this study was to obtain the interaction dose between dolomite application and POC frequency of mixed fruit waste on the growth and yield of baby cucumber plants on peat soil. This research was carried out on land located at Jalan Reformasi Gg. Structure, Southeast Pontianak took place from 07 December 2022 - 22 January 2023. This research was a field experiment with a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is dolomite lime (D) and the second factor is the frequency of mixed fruit waste (F). Each treatment was repeated 3 times, each repetition consisting of 4 sample plants so that there were 108 plants. The treatment in question is the first factor of giving dolomite with 3 doses of treatment levels, namely 123 g/polybag; 150g/poly bag; 180g/poly bag. The second factor is the frequency of POC Mixed Fruit Waste which consists of 3 treatment levels, namely giving once every 2 days, second level giving every 3 days and third level giving every 4 days. The variables observed were plant height, root volume, plant dry weight, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, and leaf area. Observational data were analyzed statistically using variance (F test level of 5%). If the F test shows a significant effect, then the Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) test is continued at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction between dolomite at a dose of 150 g/polybag and the frequency of POC mixed with fruit waste once every 3 days gave the best growth and yield of baby cucumbers on peat soils, although the interaction of dolomite with a dose of 123 g/polybag and the frequency of POC mixed with fruit waste was once every 3 days. effective enough to increase the growth and yield of baby cucumbers on peat soils.
