Abstract

Radish (Raphanus sativa L.) is a vegetable plant that is in great demand by the public as a vegetable. This research aims to obtain interaction of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) and NPK fertilizer which can provide the best growth and yield for radish plants on acid sulphate soil with the saturated soil cultivation system. The research was carried out in Golden River Camp, Kalimas Village, Sungai Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency. The research took place July 15 to September 7 2023. This research used the factorial Randomized Blocks Design consisting of 2 treatment factors. The first factor is PGPR with 2 treatment levels, namely p0 = 0 ml/l and p1 = 15 ml/l, and the second factor is NPK fertilizer with 3 treatment levels, namely n1 = 0 kg/ha equivalent to 0 g/plant , n2 = 300 kg/ha equivalent to 2,7 g/plant, and n3 = 600 kg/ha equivalent to 5,4 g/plant. Each treatment combination was repeated 4 times. The observation variables in this research consisted of the number of leaves (strands), leaf area (cm2), plant fresh weight (g), plant dry weight (g), tuber diameter (cm), tuber length (cm), tuber fresh weight (g), and tuber fresh weight per bed (kg). The results of the research showed that there was no interaction between the application of PGPR and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of radish on acid sulphate soil with the saturated soil cultivation system. Application PGPR and NPK fertilizer can increase the growth of the number of leaves of radish plants on acid sulphate soil with the saturated soil cultivation system.
