EFFECT OF HOUSEHOULD WASTE LIQUID ORGANIC FERTILIZER ENRICHED WITH BIOSTIMULANTS ON GROWTH AND YIELD OF KALE ON YELLOW-RED PODZOLIC SOIL

Abstract

Kale (Brassica oleracea) is a plant that is not commonly cultivated and consumed by the people of West Kalimantan, especially Pontianak city because this vegetable is still relatively new in popularity in the last 2 years. The study aimed to obtain the best dose of liquid organic fertilizer from household waste enriched with biostimulants on the growth and yield of kale on PMK soil. The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University. The research took place from July to September 2023. The design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 1 treatment factor, namely the Household Waste Liquid Organic Fertilizer enriched with biostimulant factor. The treatment factor has 5 treatment levels repeated 5 times with each replicate consisting of 4 sample plants. Treatment of Household Waste Liquid Organic Fertilizer factor with p1 (60 ml/l); p2 (80 ml/l); p3 (100 ml/l); p4 (120 ml/l); and p5 (150 ml/l). The results showed that household waste liquid organic fertilizer enriched with biostimulant at a concentration of 80 ml/l was an effective treatment for the growth and yield of kale plants.
