The Influence of Working Hours and Job Burnout to Employee"™s Well-Being with Work Life Balance as Intervening Variable (Study on PERUMDA Air Minum Tirta Khatulistiwa Employees)

Abstract

PDSKJI in 2022 has surveyed with a result that 61,98% of Indonesia citizen proved to be having anxiety and depression problem and 85,1% of Indonesia citizen are struggling with the suicide problem. Looking from the effect occurred by mental health problems, many companies are starting to pay more attention on their employee"™s mental health. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Working Hours (X1) and Job Burnout (X2) on Employee"™s Well-Being (Y) with Work Life Balance (Z) as the intervening variable. The sample in this study were 100 employees of PERUMDA Air Minum Tirta Khatulistiwa which conducted using quantitative method and questionnaires to collect the data. The type of research used in this research is causal associative research with a survey method. The data analysis method used the SEM-PLS method using Smart PLS 3.3 Software. The method used in this research is purposive sampling as a part of the non-probability sampling technique. The result showed that (1) Working Hours has a non-significant effect on Work Life Balance and Employee"™s Well-Being (2) Job Burnout has a significant effect on Work Life Balance and Employee"™s Well-Being (3) Work Life Balance has a significant effect on Employee"™s Well-Being (4) Work Life Balance is non-significantly mediating Working Hours and Employee"™s Well-Being (5) Work Life Balance is significantly mediating Job Burnout and Employee"™s Well-Being.
