The Effect of Work Environment on Employee Job Satisfaction Through The Role of Equal Employment Opportunity as an Intervening Variable at Grand Mahkota Hotel Kalimantan Barat

Abstract

This study discusses the role of Equal Employment Opportunity in the work environment to measure Employee Job Satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the work environment can affect employee job satisfaction through the mediation of the role of equal employment opportunities for employees of the Grand Mahkota Hotel West Kalimantan. This study used quantitative analysis methods with a sample of 103 respondents. The sampling technique uses a purposive sampling technique which has the respondent criteria, namely employees of the Grand Mahkota Hotel Pontianak and Singkawang with an age range of 20-50 years. The data collection method uses the Google form which will be distributed to all employees of Grand Mahkota in the form of a questionnaire. In this study, the analytical method used is the Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. To carry out the analysis using the PLS method, this researcher uses software 4.0. The hypothesis in this study is H1: The work environment has a positive and significant effect on Equal Employment Opportunity. H2: Work Environment has a positive and significant effect on Employee Job Satisfaction. H3: Equal Employment Opportunity has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. H4: Equal Employment Opportunity mediates a positive and significant influence between Work Environment and Employee Job Satisfaction. The results of this study indicate that the Work Environment has a positive and significant effect on Equal Employment Opportunity, the Work Environment has a positive and significant effect on Employee Job Satisfaction, Equal Employment Opportunity has a significant and significant effect on Employee Job Satisfaction, Equal Employment Opportunity mediates a positive and significant influence between Work Environment and Employee Job Satisfaction.
