ANALYSIS OF AGRICULTURAL POTENTIAL SUB SECTOR IN SAMBAS DISTRICT

Abstract

The aim of this study are to identify and analyze the sub sector of agriculture which is the basis and non base sub sector in Sambas Regency, to identify and analyze the potential sub sectors of agricultural that can be developed in Sambas Regency and to identify and analyze the sub sector of agricultural which should be a priority for the economic development in the district of Sambas. The results showed that the sub sector of fisheries agriculture, animal husbandry, hunting and agricultural services are included in the classification of LQ values above one. Based on the MRP analysis, it shows that the RPr and RPs values are negative in the three sub sectors of agriculture, livestock, hunting and agricultural services, forestry and logging and the sub sectors of fisheries in Sambas Regency. Overlay analysis of the agriculture, livestock, hunting, and the sub sector of agricultural services and the sub sector of fisheries have a positive LQ value and a negative MRP. Meanwhile, the sub sector of forestry and logging have a negative LQ value and a negatuve MRP.   The sub sector of typlogical analysis klassen forestry and logging are belong to developing sub sectors, agriculture, livestock, hunting and agricultural services are belong to the potential sub sectors, and the sub sector of fisheries are belong to the prime sub sectors.
