Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of spending on education, spending on health, spending on the economy, and the percentage of poor people on the human development index (IPM) in the districts/cities of West Kalimantan. The data used in this study is panel data with secondary data types covering the years 2010-2019. The model used in this study is the Random Effect model. The regression results show that the education expenditure variable has a positive and insignificant effect on the HDI, the health sector expenditure variable has a positive and significant effect on the HDI, the economic sector expenditure variable has a positive and insignificant effect on the HDI, and the percentage of poor people has a negative and significant effect on the Development Index.
