GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN, SIKAP, DAN TINDAKAN DONOR DARAH PADA MAHASISWA FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS TANJUNGPURA PONTIANAK

Abstract

Background. Mortality rate caused by the lack of blood supply was
increased in development countries. The fact, blood donor percentage still
low that caused restrictiveness to fill blood requirement that more
increased. Restrictiveness amount of blood donor can caused by the low
of knowledge about blood donor, any wrong perception about blood donor,
or the anxiety about blood donor procedure.
Objective. To know description of knowledge, attitude, and blood donor
practice of college student at Medical Faculty of Tanjungpura University
Pontianak.
Method. This research was a descriptive study with cross-sectional
design. Amount of sample is 82 person and to get the sample used simple
random sampling. Data got used quesioner.
Result. Sample knowledge about blood donor in a large part is good
(58,54%). Sample attitude toward blood donor in a large part is good
(85,4%). Sample practice in a large part is never done blood donor
(87,8%).
Conclusion. College student at Medical Faculty of Tanjungpura University
Pontianak in a large part have a good knowledge about blood donor
(58,54%), good attitude toward blood donor (85,4%), but never done blood
donor (87,8%).
Suggestion. Improve the promotion or healthy study to the society about
blood donor.
