Abstract

Pencapaian prestasi belajar siswa dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor antara lain; kelengkapan sarana prasarana sekolah, perhatian orang tua, kebiasaan belajar, motivasi berprestasi. Dari beberapa studi yang dilakukan oleh peneliti dalam bidang pendidikan ditemukan bahwa faktor motivasi berprestasi memunyai kontribusi lebih besar dari faktor-faktor lainnya.  Karena itu, seorang guru perlu mengetahui kebutuhan siswanya untuk berprestasi, guru diharapkan dapat memanipulasi motivasi, atau memberikan tugas-tugas yang sesuai untuk tiap-tiap siswa.
