Abstract

Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi melahirkan tantangan agar manusia memiliki kemampuan literasi lain, di luar melek-huruf. Mengingat, melek-aksara terkait dengan perkembangan media cetak yang mendorong orang untuk mampu membaca dan menulis. Dilihat dari perkembangan/perubahan masyarakat dari masyarakat agraris menjadi masyarakat industri lalu masyarakat informasi. Banyak pakar yang memperkirakan bahwa kehidupan umat manusia pada masa depan akan banyak bergantung pada teknologi komunikasi dan informasi.
