Abstract

Otonomi daerah membawa konsekuensi adanya restrukturisasi kelembagaan pemerintah, termasuk di bidang pendidikan. Manajemen berbasis sekolah (MBS) merupakan bentuk alternatif pengelolaan sekolah dalam rangka desentralisasi pendidikan yang ditandai adanya kewenangan pengambilan keputusan yang lebih luas di tingkat sekolah, partisipasi masyarakat yang lebih tinggi dalam kerangka kebijakan pendidikan nasional. MBS bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, mutu, dan pemerataan pendidikan.
