IDENTIFIKASI METABOLIT SEKUNDER EKSTRAK LANDAK LAUT (Diadema setosum) DAN UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus
Abstract
Landak laut adalah kelompok hewan Echinodermata yang sering dijumpai di daerah perairan laut Kalimantan Barat terutama di Pulau Lemukutan. Informasi tentang hasil penelitian landak laut masih sangat sedikit. Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk menentukan golongan senyawa,aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanol serta hasil partisi dari landak laut (Diadema setosum) terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus. Pengujian sampel terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu ekstraksi dilakukan dengan cara maserasi menggunakan pelarut 96%, partisi, uji fitokimia dan diteruskan dengan pengujian aktivitas antibakteri menggunakan metode difusi agar dengan cara sumuran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam ekstrak etanoldari sampel uji terdapat senyawa triterpenoid, alkaloid, fenol dan saponin. Hasil uji aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanol, fraksi kloroform, fraksi etil asetat dan fraksi etanol memiliki kemampuan aktivitas antibakteri dengan hasil uji berupa fraksi etil asetat memiliki aktivitas antibakteri yang terbaik dengan diameter zona bening sebesar 12,02 mg/ml pada konsentrasi 100 mg/ml terhadap bakteri S.aureus. Hasil uji aktivitas antibakteri fraksi etil asetat dan ekstrak etanol memiliki kemampuan aktivitas antibakteri terhadap E. coli. fraksi etil asetat merupakan fraksi yang memiliki aktivitas antibakteri yang terbaik dengan diameter zona bening sebesar 11,02 mg/ml pada konsentrasi 100 mg/ml.
