SKRINING FITOKIMIA DAN UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN EKSTRAK KULIT BATANG LABAN (Vitex Pubescens Vahl)
Abstract
Tumbuhan laban (Vitex pubescens Vahl) banyak terdapat di Kalimantan Barat umumnya digunakan oleh masyarakat dayak sebagai obat sakit perut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kandungan metabolid sekunder dan mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak metanol kulit batang laban (Vitex pubescens Vahl) dengan metode DPPH dan IC50 sebagai parameternya. Hasil penelitian skrining fitokimia ekstrak metanol positif mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin, saponin dan terpenoid, sedangkan hasil uji aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak metanol diperoleh Nilai IC50 sebesar 19,83 µg/mL. Berdasarkan hasil penelitan menunjukan bahwa ekstrak metanol kulit batang laban (Vitex pubescens Vahl) berpotensi sebagai antioksidan.
