Kepadatan Populasi Kepiting Bakau (Scylla sp.) di Kawasan Taman Wisata Alam Sungai Liku Desa Nibung Kabupaten Sambas
Abstract
Mangrove crab (Scylla sp.) belongs to the Portunidae family that lives in almost all coastal waters overgrown with mangroves, shallow waters close to mangrove forests and muddy beaches and has other ecological roles. Degradation of mangrove ecosystems and overexploitation that often occurs in Indonesian waters has resulted in a decline in the population of Mangrove Crab (Scylla sp.). The Liku River TWA is now experiencing disturbances to mangrove vegetation, seawater intrusion, as well as small-scale mangrove wood extraction and indications of land grabbing by people who are not far from the Liku River TWA area. This study aims to examine the population density of mangrove crabs in the Sungai Liku TWA area, Nibung Village, Sambas Regency. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a survey method approach and direct observation in the field. The location was divided into 3 stations, the mangrove crabs were caught using crab traps as many as 12 pieces were placed intentionally and alternately, the results showed that at station one alone there were no mangrove crabs, while at stations 2 and 3 there were still crabs caught. For the results of observations of the characteristics and parameters of the water is still quite good, The individual density of mud crabs in TWA Sungai Liku, Nibung Village, Sambas Regency at a 95% confidence interval lies between (- 9.31 individuals/Ha - 33.76 individuals/Ha), while at a 99% confidence interval the individual density lies between (- 39, 12 heads/Ha - 63.56). The number of individual mud crabs at the 95% confidence interval lies between (-1.24 individuals/Ha - 4.50), while at the 99% confidence interval the number of individuals lies between (-5.21 individuals/Ha - 8.47 individuals/Ha ).

Abstrak
Kepiting bakau (Scylla sp.) tergolong dalam famili Portunidae yang hidup hampir di seluruh perairan pantai yang ditumbuhi mangrove, perairan dangkal dekat dengan hutan mangrove dan pantai berlumpur dan mempunyai peran dalam ekologis lainya. Degradasi ekosistem mangrove dan eksploitasi berlebihan yang banyak terjadi di perairan Indonesia telah mengakibatkan penurunan pada populasi kepiting bakau (Scylla sp.). Taman wisata alam (TWA) Sungai Liku sekarang sudah mengalami gangguan terhadap vegetasi mangrove, instrusi air laut, serta pengambilan kayu mangrove skala kecil dan indikasi penyerobotan lahan oleh masyarakat yang berada tidak jauh dari Kawasan TWA Sungai Liku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kepadatan populasi kepiting bakau di Kawasan TWA Sungai Liku Desa Nibung Kabupaten Sambas penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekat metode survei dan observasi langsung di lapangan. Lokasi dibagi menjadi 3 stasiun, kepiting bakau ditangkap dengan menggunakan perangkap kepiting sebanyak 12 buah diletakkan secara sengaja dan diselang-seling, hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada stasiun satu saja tidak terdapat kepiting bakau, sedangkan pada stasiun 2 dan 3 masih terdapat kepiting bakau yang tertangkap. Hasil pengamatan dari karakteristik dan parameter air masih tergolong baik, Kepadatan individu kepiting bakau di TWA Sungai Liku Desa Nibung Kabupaten Sambas pada selang kepercayaan 95% terletak antara (- 9,31 ekor/Ha - 33,76 ekor/Ha), sedangkan pada selang kepercayaan 99% kepadatan individu terletak antara (- 39,12 ekor/Ha - 63,56). Jumlah individu kepiting bakau pada selang kepercayaan 95% terletak antara (-1,24 ekor/Ha - 4,50), sedangkan pada selang kepercayaan 99% jumlah individu terletak antara (-5,21 ekor/Ha - 8,47 ekor/Ha).
