Pemanfaatan Nipah (Nypa Fruticans Wurmb) Oleh Masyarakat Desa Sepuk Laut Kecamatan Sungai Kakap Kabupaten Kubu Raya

Abstract

Nipah is one of the many plants that grow naturally in the mangrove ecosystem which is very rich in benefits. Almost all parts of the Nipa tree can be utilized by the community, both for household needs and for economic value. This study aims to record the forms of utilization and processing of nipa palm (Nypa fruticans Wrumb) by the people of Sepuk Laut Village, Sungai Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency. The method used in this study uses a survey method through observation and in-depth interviews with selected respondents. The selection of respondents used a purposive sampling technique, with a total sample of 74 respondents. There are 5 parts of the nipa plant that are used by the people of Sepuk Laut Village, namely: Leaf Bones, Leaves, Leaf Blades, Fruits, and Waste from the rest of the nipa palm processing that is no longer used. The 5 parts of the Nipah produce 14 forms of utilization, namely: Bone leaf produces sticks, brooms, ropes, and lekar; Leaves produce roofs, walls, fences, and tents (Kajang); Leaf blades produce baskets, mats, and cigarettes; Fruit produces food and; Waste produces reclamation and Organic fertilizer.

Abstrak

Nipah merupakan salah satu dari sekian banyak tumbuhan yang tumbuh secara alami di ekosistem mangrove yang sangat kaya akan manfaat. Hampir seluruh bagian pohon nipah dapat dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat, baik untuk kebutuhan rumah tangga hingga nilai ekonomis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendata bentuk pemanfaatan dan pengolahan nipah (Nypa fruticans Wrumb) oleh masyarakat Desa Sepuk Laut, Kecamatan Sungai Kakap, Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam dengan responden terpilih. Pemilihan responden menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 74 responden. Terdapat 5 bagian tumbuhan nipah yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat Desa Sepuk Laut yaitu: Tulang Daun, Daun, Helai Daun, Buah, dan Limbah dari sisa pengolahan nipah yang sudah tidak digunakan lagi. Dari 5 bagian nipah menghasilkan 14 bentuk pemanfaatan, yaitu: Tulang daun menghasilkan tongkat, sapu, tali dan lekar; Daun menghasilkan atap, dinding, pagar, dan tenda (Kajang); Helai daun menghasilkan bakul, tikar, dan rokok; Buah menghasilkan makanan dan; Limbah menghasilkan reklamasi dan Pupuk organik.
