MUTU FISIK TREMBESI (Samanea saman) SEBAGAI BIBIT SIAP TANAM BERDASARKAN TINGKATAN UMUR

Trembesi (Samanea saman) given to the user community by BPDASHL Kapuas are only based on a minimum size of 30 cm and about three months. The delivery of the seeds still does not use the quality standards of seeds based on the requirements for their morphological characters. The study aimed examine the physical quality of trembesi seedlings to determine age as targeted seedlings and the correlation of age with seedlings in BPDASHL Kapuas Pontianak. The study was conducted using a survey method by directly observing of the height, diameter, and sturdiness of two, three, and four-month-old trembesi seedlings. The results of the research on the quality of trembesi seedlings showed that the three-month-old seedlings met the quality standards for targeted seedlings based on height (>30 cm) and sturdiness value (8.88), shoot-to-root ratio (2.66) and seed quality index (0.75). The correlation test result showed that the age of the seedlings had a positive relationship to the physical quality of the seedlings.

Trembesi (Samanea saman) yang diberikan ke masyarakat pengguna oleh BPDASHL Kapuas hanya didasarkan pada ukuran tinggi minimal 30 cm dan umur sekitar tiga bulan. Penyerahan bibit tersebut masih belum menggunakan standar mutu bibit berdasarkan persyaratan karakter morfologinya. Tujuan penelitian ingin mengkaji mutu fisik bibit trembesi untuk menentukan umur sebagai bibit siap tanam dan korelasi umur dengan mutu bibit di BPDAS-HL Kapuas, Pontianak. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survei terhadap bibit trembesi di lokasi persemaian dengan melakukan observasi secara langsung terhadap bibit trembesi yang berumur dua, tiga dan empat bulan. Hasil penelitian mutu fisik bibit menunjukkan bahwa bibit umur tiga bulan memenuhi standar mutu bibit siap tanam berdasarkan tinggi (≥30 cm), nilai kekokohan (8,88), rasio pucuk akar RPA (2,66) dan indeks mutu bibit IMB (0,75). Hasil korelasi fisik bibit menunjukkan bahwa umur bibit mempunyai hubungan positif terhadap mutu fisik bibit.
