Persepsi Masyarakat Peladang Berpindah Terhadap Hutan Di Desa Terduk Dampak Kecamatan Belitang Hulu Kabupaten Sekadau

Forests are very important for shifting cultivators to be managed into shifting fields, and other activities to fulfill their daily needs. This study aims to examine the perception of shifting cultivators towards the forest in Terduk Dampak Village and their relationship to knowledge, cosmopolitan and income. The research was conducted in Terduk Dampak Village. Collecting data using a survey method with interview techniques assisted by questionnaires. The study of 78 respondents, the perception of shifting cultivators towards the forest in Terduk Dampak Village to be moderate with a frequency of 37 respondents 47%, this is because the community's assessment of shifting cultivators on the direct benefits of forests for the economy is very small. The characteristics of respondents based on the level of knowledge tend to be high, the frequency of 30 respondents is 39%, the characteristics of respondents based on the cosmopolitan level tend to be moderate, the frequency of 32 respondents is 41%, and the characteristics of respondents based on the income level tend to be low, the frequency of 45 respondents is 58%. Chi square descriptive analysis, the level of knowledge of the value of Sig (2-Tailed) 0.181> 0.1 means that there is no significant relationship with perception, the cosmopolitan level obtained the value of Sig (2-Tailed) 0.437> 0.1 means that there is no significant relationship with perception, and income level obtained Sig value (2-Tailed) 0.770 > 1.0 means that there is no significant relationship with perception.

Abstrak

Hutan merupakan suatu yang sangat penting bagi masayarakat peladang berpindah untuk dikelola menjadi ladang berpindah, dan kegiatan lainya dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji persepsi masyarakat peladang berpindah terhadap hutan di Desa Terduk Dampak serta hubungannya dengan pengetahuan, kosmopolitan dan pendapatan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Terduk Dampak. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode survey dengan teknik wawancara yang dibantu dengan kuisioner. Penelitian terhadap 78 responden persepsi masyarakat peladang berpindah terhadap hutan di Desa Terduk Dampak cenderung sedang, dengan frekuensi 37 responden 47%, hal ini dikarenakan penilaian masyarakat peladang berpindah terhadap manfaat langsung hutan bagi ekonomi sangat kecil. Karateristik responden berdasarkan tingkat pengetahuan cenderung tinggi, frekuensi 30 responden 39%, karakteristik responden berdasarkan tingkat kosmopolitan cenderung sedang, frekuensi 32 responden 41%, dan karakteristik responden berdasarkan tingkat pendapatan cenderung rendah, frekuensi 45 responden 58%. Analisis deskriftif (chi square), tingkat pengetahuan nilai Sig (2-Tailed) 0,181 > 0,1 artinya tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dengan persepsi, tingkat kosmopolitan diperoleh nilai Sig (2-Tailed) 0,437 > 0,1 artinya tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dengan persepsi, dan tingkat pendapatan diperoleh nilai Sig (2-Tailed) 0,770 > 1,0 artinya tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dengan persepsi.
