Abstract

Abstract

The aim of the research was to determine the right combination of spacing and direction of Rhizophora apiculata planting paths at appropriate locations in the mangrove rehabilitation area of Sungai Nibung Village. The research was conducted from January 2022 to April 2022. The research location was the mangrove forest of Sungai Nibung Village, Teluk Pakedai District, Kubu Raya Regency, which was managed by the Village Forest Management Forest Agency. This research was conducted within 3 months with a total of 6 observations, to measure height, diameter, number of leaves. This research using one parameter, namely the increase in the height of mangrove propagules. Height gain was measured from the bottom of the mud soil to the tip of the leaf, the measurement was carried out for 3 months and 6 observations, a total of 18 measuring plots from 3 locations in front of the beach, in the middle of approaching the land and behind it getting closer to the land. From the results of the height measurement, it was found that the spacing of 1m x 5m with the direction of the path perpendicular to the coastline was the best. Meanwhile, the lowest growth in plant height was in the treatment of 1m x 1m spacing and the direction of the planting path parallel to the coast. Research result explained that sunlight affects cell enlargement and cell differentiation so that it will increase growth in height, leaf and stem size. The growth of seedling height is directly related to the intensity and quality of sunlight received by plants to carry out photosynthesis.

Abstrak

Tujuan penelitian adalah menentukan kombinasi jarak tanam dan arah jalur penanaman Rhizophora apiculata yang tepat di lokasi yang sesuai pada areal rehabilitasi mangrove Desa Sungai Nibung. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Januari 2022 sampai April 2022. Lokasi penelitian, yaitu Hutan mangrove Desa Sungai Nibung Kecamatan Teluk Pakedai, Kabupaten Kubu Raya, yang dikelola oleh Lembaga Hutan Pengelola Hutan Desa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam waktu 3 bulan dengan jumlah pengamatan sebanyak 6 kali, untuk mengukur tinggi, diameter, jumlah daun. Penelitian ini menggunakan satu parameter, yaitu pertambahan tinggi propagul mangrove. Pertambahan tinggi diukur dari dasar tanah lumpur, hingga ujung daun, pengukuran dilakukan selama 3 bulan dan 6 kali pengamatan, jumlah 18 petak ukur dari 3 lokasi depan pantai, tengah mendekati daratan dan belakang semakin mendekati daratan. Dari hasil pengukuran tinggi didapatkan ukuran jarak tanam 1m x 5m dengan arah jalur tegak lurus garis pantai adalah yang terbaik. Sementara itu, pertambahan tinggi tanaman yang paling rendah pada perlakuan jarak tanam 1m x 1m dan arah jalur tanam sejajar pantai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cahaya matahari berpengaruh terhadap pembesaran sel dan diferensiasi sel, sehingga akan meningkatkan pertumbuhan tinggi, ukuran daun dan batang. Pertumbuhan tinggi semai berkaitan langsung dengan intensitas dan kualitas cahaya matahari yang diterima oleh tanaman untuk melaksanakan fotosintesisnya.
