Abstract

Abstrak

The existence of green open space in urban areas plays an important role in sustainability, harmony and maintaining the balance of urban ecosystems which include environmental, social and cultural elements. The purpose of the study was to describe the diversity of lichen species in the Green Open Space of the Sylva Untan Arboretum. This research was conducted in the Green Open Space of Sylva Untan Arboretum using survey methods and double plot sampling techniques. The data analysis used for this lichen research is the important value index, dominance index, species diversity index, and species evenness index. This study found 8 types of lichen consisting of 8 families that were most commonly found in the Grapis sp. lichen research site. and Lepraria sp. found in the City Forest of Sylva Untan Arboretum. Based on the Shannon-Wiener diversity index shows the medium category. . The evenness index belongs to the low category and the dominance index belongs to the low category. In environmental conditions, it is quite supportive of the suitability of lichen growth with an average temperature of 28.6 ° C, an average light intensity of 1779.90 Cd, and an average humidity of 74.47%. Lichen can be used as a bioindicator of air cleanliness, lichen cannot grow in polluted conditions because it is very sensitive to air pollution.
