Persepsi Masyarakat Lokal Terhadap Keberadaan Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit di Desa Bintang Mas Kecamatan Rasau Jaya Kabupaten Kubu Raya

Oil palm plantations in Bintang Mas Village in Other Use Areas (APL) have existed for the last ten years resulting in the loss of the forested areas that can be utilized by the community. The purpose this study was to examine the perception of local people in Bintang Mas Village, Rasau Jaya District, Kubu Raya Regency towards the existence of oil palm plantations and to analyze the relationship between individual factors, knowledge level, income level, and cosmopolitan. This study uses a survey method, the respondent"™s sampling technique is done by purposive sampling, and data collection through closed interviews. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Local people"™s perception of the change in forested areas to oil palm plantations in Bintang Mas Village, Rasau Jaya District, Kubu Raya Regency tend to have a positive perception, namely with a frequency value of 50,60% from 83 respondents. There is a positive and significant relationship between the level of knowledge and the level of cosmopolitan with community perceptions of changing forested areas to oil palm plantations, and there is a positive and insignificant relationship between income levels and community perceptions of changing forested areas to oil palm plantations in Bintang Mas Village, Rasau Jaya District, Kubu Raya Regency.

Abstrak

Perkebunan kelapa sawit di Desa Bintang Mas pada Areal Penggunaan Lain (APL) ada sejak sepuluh tahun terakhir berdampak pada hilangnya areal berhutan yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji persepsi masyarakat lokal di Desa Bintang Mas Kecamatan Rasau Jaya Kabupaten Kubu Raya terhadap keberadaan perkebunan kelapa sawit dan menganalisis hubungan masing-masing faktor idividu tingkat pengetahuan, tingkat pendapatan, dan kosmopolitan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey, teknik pengambilan sampel responden dilakukan secara purposive sampling, dan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara yang bersifat tertutup. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensia. Persepsi masyarakat lokal terhadap perubahan areal berhutan menjadi perkebunan kelapa sawit di Desa Bintang Mas Kecamatan Rasau Jaya Kabupaten Kubu Raya cenderung memiliki persepsi positif, yaitu dengan nilai frekuensi sebesar 50,60% dari 83 responden. Terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan dan tingkat kosmopolitan dengan persepsi masyarakat terhadap perubahan areal berhutan menjadi perkebunan kelapa sawit, kemudian terdapat hubungan yang positif dan tidak signifikan antara tingkat pendapatan dengan persepsi masyarakat terhadap perubahan areal berhutan menjadi perkebunan kelapa sawit di Desa Bintang Mas Kecamatan Rasau Jaya Kabupaten Kubu Raya.
