PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT TERHADAP AKTIVITAS PENAAMBANGAN EMAS TANPA DI DAERAH HUTA DESA PERJUK KECAMATAN SILAT HULU

Abstract

Unlicensed gold mining (PETI) is a mining business carried out by individuals, groups of people or companies whose operations do not have permits from government agencies in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The purpose of this study is to describe the community's perception of PETI activities in the forest area of Perjuk Village, Silat Hulu District and explain the relationship of the factors of knowledge level, age level and income level to PETI activities in the forest area of Perjuk Village, Silat Hulu District. The study used a survey method with interviews with 66 respondents with a questionnaire guide, and observation techniques were carried out in three hamlets, namely Tunas Permata, Inggit, and Pengga Putih. Public perception of PETI tends to be positive because PETI has provided jobs, added income, and was able to change people's living standards. There is a significant relationship between the level of perception with the level of knowledge, income level, while the age category in this study does not have a significant relationship. Then obtained a positive conclusion from the public perception of PETI in the Perjuk village area, Silat Hulu district. Meanwhile, the relationship between the independent variables is significant, such as knowledge and income, which is significant on perception, while at the age level there is no significant relationship.

Abstrak

Pertambangan emas tanpa izin (PETI) adalah usaha pertambangan yang dilakukan oleh perseorangan, sekelompok orang atau perusahaan yang dalam operasinya tidak memiliki  izin  dari instansi pemerintah sesuai peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku.  Tujuan penelitian ini  menguraikan persepsi masyarakat terhadap aktivitas PETI di daerah hutan Desa Perjuk Kecamatan Silat Hulu dan menjelaskan hubungan faktor-faktor tingkat pengetahuan, tingkat umur dan tingkat pendapatan terhadap aktivitas PETI di daerah hutan    Desa Perjuk Kecamatan Silat Hulu.    Penelitian menggunakan metode survei dengan teknik wawancara terhadap  66 responden dengan panduan kuesioner, dan teknik observasi dilakukan di tiga dusun yaitu Tunas Permata, Inggut, dan Pengga Putih.  Persepsi masyarakat terhadap PETI cenderung positif dikarenankan PETI telah memberikan lapangan pekerjaan, menambahkan pendapatan, serta mampu menubah taraf hidup masyarakat. Hubungan signifikan terdapat antara tingkat persepsi dengan tingkat pengetahuan , tingkat pendapatan, sementara pada kategori umur    pada penelitian ini tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan. Maka diperoleh kesimpulan yang positip dari persepsi masyarakat terhadap PETI di daerah desa perjuk kecamatan silat hulu. Sementara hubungan antar variabel terikat dengan bebas terdapat yang signifikan seperti pengetahuan dan pendapatan signifikan terhadap persepsi sedangkan pada tingkat umur tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan.
