PERSEPSI MASYRAKAT DESA SAHAN TERHADAP KEBERADAAN HUTAN ADAT PIKUL DI KECAMATAN SELUAS KABUPATEN BENGKAYANG

Abstract

The Pikul Customary Forest Area located in Sahan Village is a very important ecosystem supporting area, determined by the government based on approval by the local community through the Decree of the Bengkayang Regent Number 131 of 2002 and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry Number SK 1300/MENLHK-PSKL/PKYHA/PSL.1/3/2008 for public purposes such as research, education, culture, conservation, protection and development. The purpose of this study intends to determine the perceptions of the people of Sahan Village regarding the existence of the Pikul Customary Forest and to analyze how the relationship between perceptions and the level of knowledge, age level, and the level of community dependence. In this study data collection used a survey method with interview techniques to 95 respondents with a questionnaire tool. The data analysis method used is non-parametric correlation Kendall Tau analysis. Based on the results of the research, it shows that the perception of the Sahan Village community towards the existence of the Pikul Customary Forest tends to be in the Neutral category with a percentage of 51.58%. The relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable on the research results has a positive and not significant relationship between community perceptions and the level of knowledge, age level, and the level of community dependence on the existence of the Pikul Customary Forest. Abstrak

Kawasan Hutan Adat Pikul yang terletak di Desa Sahan merupakan suatu kawasan penunjang ekosistem yang sangat penting keberadaanya, ditetapkan oleh pemerintah berdasarkan persetujuan oleh masyarakat setempat melalui SK Bupati Bengkayang Nomor 131 Tahun 2002 dan Kementrian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Nomor SK 1300/MENLHK-

PSKL/PKYHA/PSL.1/3/2008 untuk kepentingan umum seperti penelitian, pendidikan, budaya, konservasi, perlindungan dan pengembangan. Tujuan penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat Desa Sahan Terhadap Keberadaan Hutan Adat Pikul serta menganalisis bagaimana hubungan antara persepsi dan Tingkat pengetahuan, tingkat umur, dan tingkat ketergantungan masyarakat. Dalam penelitian ini pengumpulan data menggunakan metode survey dengan teknik wawancara terhadap 95 responden dengan alat bantu kuisioner. Metode analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis non parametric korelasi kendall Tau. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa persepsi masyarakat Desa sahan terhadap keberadaan Hutan Adat Pikul cenderung pada katergori Netral dengan persentase 51,58%. Hubungan antara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat pada hasil penelitian memiliki hubungan yang positif dan tidak Signifikan antara persepsi masyarakat dengan tingkat pengetahuan, tingkat umur, dan tingkat Ketergantungan masyarakat terhadap keberadaan Hutan Adat Pikul.
