Abstract

Proximate comparative study on kratom leaves which aims to compare the proximate composition to describe the basic chemical composition consisting of main substances such as water, ash, protein, fat and carbohydrates. Differences in the Pontianak Region of the Faculty of Forestry and the Kapuas Hulu Region. There are still not many comparative studies regarding the differences in the proximate composition of kratom leaves between the Pontianak region and the Kapuas Hulu region. The aim of the research is to find out information on the proximate content and comparison of kratom leaves (Mitragyna speciosa) originating from Pontianak and kratom leaves originating from Kapuas Hulu. The method used in this research is an experimental method which includes: water content test, ash content test, fat content test, protein content test carried out in the laboratory and to test carbohydrate content using the by difference method. The results of the proximate analysis on the water content test of kratom leaves obtained from trees in the Pontianak area were 10.66% while the results for the Kapuas Hulu area were 12.55%. The results of the ash content test for kratom leaves in the Pontianak area were 3.6% while the Kapuas Hulu area was 4.56%. The test results for the fat content of kratom leaves in the Pontianak area were 12.8% while in Kapuas Hulu it was 7.6%. The results of the protein content of kratom leaves in the Pontianak area were 8.7% and in the Kapuas Hulu area 14.92%. The results of the carbohydrate content of kratom leaves in the Pontianak region were 64.24% and in the Kapuas Hulu region 60.37%. The proximate results of kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) leaves from the Pontianak region are better than the proximate results of kratom leaves from the Kapuas Hulu region because the proximate value of kratom leaves from the Pontianak region is low.

Abstrak

Studi komparasi proksimat pada daun kratom yang bertujuan membandingkan komposisi proksimat untuk menggambarkan komposisi kimia dasar yang terdiri dari zat-zat utama seperti air, abu, protein, lemak, dan karbohidrat. Perbedaan Wilayah Pontianak Fakultas Kehutanan dan Wilayah Kapuas Hulu masih belum banyak studi yang komparasi tentang perbedaan komposisi proksimat dari daun kratom antara wilayah Pontianak dan wilayah Kapuas Hulu. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu untuk mendapatkan informasi kandungan proksimat dan perbandingan daun kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) yang berasal dari Pontianak dan daun kratom yang berasal dari Kapuas Hulu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimen yang meliputi uji kadar air, uji kadar abu, uji kadar lemak, uji kadar protein yang dilakukan di   Laboratorium dan untuk uji kadar karbohidrat dengan menggunakan metode by difference. Hasil analisis proksimat pada uji kadar air daun kratom yang diperoleh dari pohon wilayah Pontianak 10,66% sedangkan wilayah Kapuas Hulu diperoleh 12,55%. Hasil uji kadar abu daun kratom di wilayah Pontianak 3,6% sedangkan wilayah Kapuas Hulu 4,56%. Hasil uji kadar lemak daun kratom di wilayah Pontianak 12,8% sedangkan Kapuas Hulu 7,6%. Hasil kadar protein daun kratom di wilayah Pontianak 8,7% dan wilayah Kapuas Hulu 14,92%. Hasil kadar karbohidrat daun kratom wilayah Pontianak 64,24% dan wilayah Kapuas Hulu 60,37%. Hasil proksimat daun kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) wilayah Pontianak lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil proksimat daun kratom wilayah Kapuas Hulu karena nilai proksimat daun kratom dari wilayah Pontianak yang dihasilkan rendah.
