Abstract

Ethnozoology is a science that studies local knowledge and the relationship between humans, animals, and the surrounding environment, while science that studies the use and management of animal species diversity that is closely related to the culture of the community of a group, ethnicity or ethnicity. The purpose of this study is to record, study, and obtain data on the conservation status of animals used for consumption, art, and treatment by the Dayak community of Taman Kapuas in Ingko'Tambe Village, South Putussibau District, Kapuas Hulu Regency. This study uses a survey method, data collection techniques with interviews, and determination of respondents using the slovin formula. There are 36 animals for consumption and 10 animals for art. The parts used in animals are the whole body, for the way the animal is processed varies such as fried, boiled, burned, smoked, and made into pekasam. The results of the interview based on the level of animal classes were obtained from nine animal classes. The most used class is the Mammalian class which consists of 17 species and the lowest is the Amphibian, Mollusca, Annelida, and Arachnida class.
