Abstract

Kalimantan Barat memiliki keberagaman budaya yang terdiri dari 3 etnis mayoritas yaitu Melayu, Dayak dan Tionghoa. Kebudayaan Tionghoa Kalimantan Barat berumur ribuan tahun, sehingga perlu dilestarikan agar dapat dipelajari oleh generasi masa kini dan yang akan datang. Saat ini, fasilitas informasi budaya Tionghoa di Kalimantan Barat sangat minim, sehingga informasi budaya Tionghoa belum terfasilitasi dengan baik. Perencanaan dan perancangan Pusat Informasi Budaya Tionghoa Kalimantan Barat sangat penting karena dapat merepresentasikan dan menjadi wadah informasi budaya Tionghoa di Kalimantan Barat. Pusat Informasi Budaya Tionghoa Kalimantan Barat merupakan fasilitas yang memiliki informasi berupa bahasa, sistem pengetahuan, organisasi sosial, sistem peralatan hidup dan teknologi, sistem mata pencaharian hidup, sistem religi, dan kesenian etnis Tionghoa Kalimantan Barat. Lokasi perancangan berada di kawasan pendidikan Universitas Tanjungpura, Pontianak. Hal ini untuk mendukung kawasan dan bangunan perancangan yang berbasis sumber informasi dan pendidikan. Kondisi eksisting site dikelilingi oleh jalan dan membuat site mudah untuk diakses dari berbagai arah. Pusat informasi budaya Tionghoa Kalimantan Barat memiliki 3 fungsi yaitu fungsi informasi, fungsi edukasi, dan fungsi rekreasi. Konsep utama dari pusat informasi budaya Tionghoa Kalimantan Barat adalah open access. Bangunan bersifat terbuka, mudah diakses pengunjung, ruang bersama, fasilitas yang memudahkan pengunjung untuk mendapatkan, menikmati dan mempelajari informasi kebudayaan.
