PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSFORMASIONAL DAN QUALITY OF WORK LIFE TERHADAP ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR (OCB) DENGAN KOMITMEN ORGANISASIONAL SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING (STUDY PADA PEGAWAI KANTOR KESYAHBANDARAN DAN OTORITAS PELABUHAN PONTIANAK)

Abstrak : Penelitian ini menjelaskan pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional dan quality of work life (QWL) terhadap OCB melalui komitmen organisasional. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh terhadap komitmen organisasional dan OCB, QWL berpengaruh terhadap komitmen organisasional, QWL tidak berpengaruh terhadap OCB dan komitmen organisasi berpengaruh terhadap OCB sedangkan komitmen organisasional tidak terbukti sebagai variabel intervening pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap OCB tetapi komitmen organisasional terbukti sebagai variabel intervening berpengaruh signifikan antara QWL terhadap OCB. Kesimpulannya semakin meningkatnya kepemimpinan transformasional dan QWL akan meningkatkan komitmen organisasional sehingga dapat meningkatkan OCB. Sarannya adalah agar meningkatkan motivasi kepada pegawai dalam melaksanakan pekerjaan karena sifat dan karakteristik pimpinan sangat berpengaruh pada pembentukan komitmen organisasional dan memperhatikan QWL dalam mendorong dan menimbulkan perilaku ekstra peran (OCB) melalui kepemimpinan transformasional.

Abstract : This research aims at explain the effect of transformational leadership style and quality of work life towards OCB through organizational commitment.. Results of the research indicated that transformational leadership indeed affected the organisational commitment, further, the quality of work life had an effect towards the organisational commitment. The organisational commitment affected OCB. The quality of work life did not have any effect towards OCB. meanwhile, the organisational commitment had an effect towards OCB and Organisational commitment was not proven as an intervening variable that affected the transformational leadership. however, organisational commitment was proved as an intervening variable that significantly affected the quality of work life towards OCB. In conclusion, if the transformational leadership and tthe quality of work life increase, it will increase OCB. The research then suggests motivating staffs to carry out their because the attitude and characteristics of the leader play a vital role to the development of organisational commitment. It also recommends the leader paying attention on the quality of work life to encourage and create an extra behavior (OCB) through transformational leadership.
