IDENTIFIKASI JENIS POHON FAMILI DIPTEROCARPACEAE DI KAWASAN KEBUN RAYA SAMBAS KABUPATEN SAMBAS KALIMANTAN BARAT

Abstract

Plant identification aims to determine the identity of plants that are not yet known. In general, Dipterocarpaceae is a large tree with a very dominant canopy and has many types of buttresses (almost every genus has different buttresses). Diptorecarpaceae have resin that is generally white, yellow, brown, or black. In general, the Sambas Botanical Gardens area is covered by secondary forest vegetation with lowland forest, swamp forest, and riparian forest dominated by Dipterocarpaceae. The purpose of this study was to identify and describe tree species and morphological characteristics of the Dipterocarpaceae family in the Sambas Botanical Gardens area. This research was conducted using a survey method and flora exploration which was carried out by roaming, namely by exploring every corner of the location that could represent the types of ecosystems or vegetation in the area studied. The results of the study found 21 species from 5 different genera with a total of 108 individuals.

Abstrak

Identifikasi tumbuhan bertujuan untuk mengetahui identitas dari tanaman yang belum diketahui. Pada umumnya Dipterocarpaceae merupakan pohon yang besar dengan tajuk yang sangat dominan dan mempunyai banyak tipe banir (hampir setiap genus mempunyai banir yang berbeda). Diptorecarpaceae memiliki damar yang umumnya berwarna putih, kuning, coklat, atau hitam. Kawasan Kebun Raya Sambas secara umum merupakan lahan yang ditutupi oleh vegetasi hutan sekunder dengan tipe hutan dataran rendah, hutan rawa serta hutan riparian yang didominasi jenis Dipterocarpaceae. Tujuan dari penelitian ini mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan jenis pohon dan ciri-ciri morfologi famili Dipterocarpaceae di kawasan Kebun Raya Sambas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survey dan eksplorasi flora yang dilakukan dengan cara jelajah, yaitu dengan menjelajah setiap sudut lokasi yang dapat mewakili tipe-tipe ekosistem ataupun vegetasi di kawasan yang diteliti.Hasil penelitian ditemukan 21 spesies dari 5 genus berbeda dengan total 108 individu.
