Abstract

Abstract

Research problem is whether any improvement to the students learning outcome if applied jigsaw learning method to fourth grade of State Elementary School 03th South Pontianak. Purpose of this research was to describe the applied of the jigsaw method in thematic learning which can improve learning outcomes to the fourth grade students of State Elementary School 03 South Pontianak. The research method conducted in descriptive, form of research is classroom action research with collaborative nature. As Subjects in this study were students in fourth grade 36 students in amount. Data collection techniques in this study was the direct observation and document examination of test results. While the data collection tool used in this study was the observation sheets and students learning outcome it selves. Research conducted in to two-cycle, from whole cycle of research obtained result as conclusions are   improvement in average ; the ability of teachers to design learning is 0.45 point, as well as to the ability of teachers in learning implementation is 0.42 point, finally the student learning outcomes increased to 10.86 point.
