Abstract:

The focus of this research is to find out how the principal leadership style in giving influence to teachers working in public junior high school 3 Seponti. This research used qualitative approach by applying a case study. The location took place in Public Junior High School 3 Seponti. The sources of data are the principal and teachers. Furthermore, the data was collected through observation, interview, member check list, and documentation. The data analysis used Miles and Huberman model in the form of data reduction, data presentation and verification or conclusion. The finding shows that the principal leadership style of public junior high schhol 3 Seponti could influence teachers working motivation. It is proved by the teachers"™ attendance, being on time, teaching document, supervision score, and both students and school achievements. The principal delegated his authority, managed, trained, supported, became a model, and matured the teachers. In addition, he also gave opportunity, empowered, involved, and gave reward and punishment to the teachers as his strategy in leading the school.
