REMEDIASI MISKONSEPSI SISWA MENGGUNAKAN STRATEGI METAKOGNITIF BERBANTUAN REFUTATION TEXT PADA MATERI GERAK PARABOLA

Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness remediation of students"™ misconceptions in projectile motion using metacognitive strategies assisted by refutation text in SMA Taruna Bumi Khatulistiwa. This study used one group pretest-posttest design and there were nine item multiple choice questions accompanied by open reason of diagnostic test used as instrument. The instruments validated by three expert and the reliability result is 0,68 (classified as high). About 25 students of class XI selected by intact group were sample in this study. There were decrease in the percentage number of student"™s misconceptions after remediation by 54,67%. McNemar test result showed that significant changes in all indicator conception. This Metacognitive strategies assisted by refutation text is effective to remediate students"™ misconceptions in a parabolic motion with effectiveness based on the calculation by proportion of reduction in the number of students who have misconceptions with ∆S = 0,60 (Classified as moderate). This result can be used as an alternative for teachers to improve students"™ misconceptions in projectile motion.
