Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning process through the application of metacognitive learning in order to improve the economic learning outcomes of students of class XI IIS2 SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak. This research is a Classroom Action Research that is in coeducation with economic subject teacher which is carried out for two cycles. Data collection techniques used are tests and observations. Based on the results of research that has been done, that metacognitive learning can improve the ability of student learning outcomes in learning economy class XI IIS2 SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak as evidenced by the increasing number of students who meet the KKM. In the first cycle, students who reached KKM as much as 42.5%, on the second cycle as much as 67.5%. In addition, student activity is also seen to increase in cycle I 67,5% in cycle II 95% at the time of learning process.
