Abstract
The background of this research is student"™s science process skills in subject of matter chemical reaction rate is low. This research was aimed at investigating the differences of science process skills between student who are taught by guided inquiry learning and student who are taught by conventional learning in subject of matter chemical reaction rate on XI grade of SMK PGRI Pontianak. This reserach was conducted in two classes and applied Quasi Experimental Design that was Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The data is collected by three method such as science process skills test, observation paper and semistructured interview. The sample of this research are XI TAV as experiment class and XI TSM as control class. Gain score data analysis were using independent-t test (α = 5%) values obtained Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) of 0.000, indicating that there were differences in student"™s science process skills between student who were taught by guided inquiry learning and student who were taught by conventional learning. The using of guided inquiry learning in subject of matter chemical reaction rate chapter on XI grade of SMK PGRI Pontianak effecting 73,1% of improving student"™s science process skills.
