Abstract

Abstrack

The aims of this study were to determine whether there was a significant difference of student interest and learning outcomes and to determine how much influence of role playing model towards learning outcomes and student interest. The study population was all students in class X SMK N 2 Pontianak on academic year 2016/2017. Design used in this study was control group pretest posttest design. Sampling technique used is random sampling. According to random sampling X TEI A class was chosen as experiment class which taught using role playing model and X TEI B class was chosen as control class which taught using lectures method. According to t-independent test with  = 5%, there was a significant difference between those classes. Student of the effect of role playing model of the student interest was 29.67% and learning outcomes was 22.24%. It meant role playing model gave effect on student interest and learning outcomes respectively.
