REMEDIASI KESULITAN BELAJAR SISWA KELAS XII IPA MAN 1 PONTIANAK PADA MATERI DINAMIKA ROTASI MENGGUNAKAN MODEL LEARNING CYCLE 5E

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas  model learning cycle 5E untuk meremediasi kesulitan belajar siswa kelas XII IPA MAN 1 Pontianak pada materi dinamika rotasi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Pre Experimental Design dengan rancangan One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Data diambil dari siswa kelas XII IPA yang dipilih secara intact group. Pilihan ganda digunakan usntuk mengetahui kesulitan siswa dalam memahami konsep, dan essay digunakan untuk mengetahui kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal. Penurunan kesulitan siswa memahami konsep sebesar 24,11%, dan menyelesaikan soal sebesar 57,59% setelah diberikan remediasi menggunakan model learning cycle 5E. Model learning cycle 5E efektif untuk meremediasi kesulitan belajar siswa kelas XII IPA MAN 1 Pontianak pada materi dinamika rotasi dengan rata-rata harga proporsi penurunan jumlah kesalahan siswa pada pemahaman konsep sebesar 0,325 (sedang) dan penyelesaian soal sebesar 0,81 (tinggi). Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif kegiatan remediasi bagi siswa agar dapat mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa.

Abstract: The purpose of this research is finding out the effectiveness of  learning cycle 5E’s model in remediating learning difficulties faced by  grade XII science students in MAN 1 Pontianak on rotational dynamics material. The method of research is Pre Experimental Design with One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The data was taken from the students in grade XII science class, which are chosen by using intact group. Multiple choices used to find out students’ difficulties in understanding concept and essay used to find out students’ difficulties in solving the question.  Students’ difficulties of understanding concept was decreased by 24, 11% and in solving question was decreased by 57, 59% after remediation. Learning cycle 5E’s model is effective to remediate the students' learning difficulties in the rotational dynamics material with the average price of the proportion of the number of errors students in understanding the concept of 0.325 (moderate) and in solving problem proportion of 0,81 (high). This research is expected to be used as an alternative in remediation activity for the students in order to solve students’ learning difficulties.
