Operational teaching and learning activities in schools in general are nothing more than information-giving efforts, whose mastery is billed through exams that primarily require memorization. As a result students become unmotivated in the learning process, which will ultimately affect learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to describe the effect of the implementation of independent learning model on mathematics learning outcomes using textbooks handling students of class XI SMK Negeri 1 Muara Pawan Ketapang Year lesson 2015/2016. The method used in this research is experimental method with quantitative approach. The research design is true experimental design, with pretest - only control group design model. The population in this study were 27 students of class XI ATP and 27 students of class XI ATPH. From the research data analyzed obtained the average value of experimental class learning result = 73.14. While the average value of control class learning outcomes = 68.51. The result is this research is the independent learning model influences the learning outcomes of Mathematics of spatial material in the class XI ATP (Plantation Crop Agribusiness) SMK Negeri 1 Muara Pawan Ketapang as experimental class.
