Abstract

Abstract:This research was motivated by the desire of researchers to determine the role of         teachers in nurturing behavior in high school students Santun UNTAN Pontianak. Sub problem in this research are as follows: 1) How is the role of the teacher as an example in fostering the behavior of students in the learning process sociology 2) How is the role of the teacher as motivator in fostering the behavior of students in the learning process sociology, 3) How is the role of the teacher as a supervisor in fostering the behavior of students in the learning process of sociology. The results showed the role of teachers in fostering student behavior that is, the teacher as a role model for students, with the indicator set an example for students, using language that is mannered and educated, teachers as a motivator for students, with indicators encourage students to study in earnest, to provide reinforcement for students, teachers as supervisors on students, with indicators giving advice and warnings to students who commit offenses and impose penalties that contain a deterrent effect.
