Abstract

The title of   this study is ""Socialization of customary values of marriage of Dayak tribe ketungau sesaek by adat leaders to the young generation in sub-village selimus sekadau hilir". With the sub problems of socialization of traditional values of adat tanaya (adat minta), anatar ramu (adat tunang), adat marriage (big day) by adat leaders to the young generation in sub-village selimus sekadau hilir. The purpose of this research is to find out the socialization of traditional values of questioning (adat minta), inter ramu (adat tunang), adat marriage (big day) by traditional leaders to the young generation in sub-district selimus sekadau hilir. The method used in this research is qualitative with descriptive method. Data collection techniques used are observation techniques, interviews, and documentation studies. While the data collection tool is an observation sheet and interview guide. The result of the research shows the socialization of the values contained in the customs of light, inter ramu, adat mating (big day) in the form of goods. In addition, traditional leaders are also trying to motivate the young generation to always be active in socialization activities and maintain the values that exist.
