The researcher chose mixing code as the main focus of the research, it is about languages mixing event that was often found when communicating orally and in writing. The problems discussed in this research were the form, type, factor, and function of mixing code in Genduk novel by Sundari Mardjuki and the implementation plan of learning in the school. The aim of this research was to describe the form, type, factor, and function of mixing code. The method used in this research was descriptive and the type of qualitative research. The results of the data analysis obtained were the forms of noun, verb, adjective, pronoun, word number, adverb, verbal phrase, nominal phrase, adjective phrase, reduplication, baster, idiom, and clause. The types of mixing code were mixing code in and out. The causes of mixing code were the limitations of code usage, the use of more popular terms, speaker and personal speaker, interlocutor, topic, function and goal, variety and level of speech. The functions of mixing code were as looping, sentence insertion, quotation, interlocutor specification, and classifying the message"™s content.
